In reponse to many of the comments, I invite people to write in suggestions for how to get this information out. Also, please consider emailing this link to your friends, doctors, elected officials, etc.
Also, please note that much of the source material is comments to two earlier personal blogs (which are still posted at this site). The vaccine side effects reporting system, VAERS, is described in this blog. ----------------------------------- It took longer than expected, but I've finally built a table from all the comments so far. As I've mentioned, I'm concerned about the adverse reactions to the HPV vaccine and how little is known yet. I'm hoping that gathering this information will help solve the mystery of what's causing them.
I'm not a medical researcher, so apologies if my methods are not perfect.
Since we know there are lots of folks who don't have reactions, I didn't include those in the table. The one exception to that rule is where someone wrote about siblings, in case that helps to rule out genetic predisposition.
Also, I included who wrote the comment in case they'd like to write back now and fill in the blanks.
If you've had a negative reaction or know someone who has, please submit a comment with as much of the information for the table as possible.

My 14 year old daughter had 1st gardasil shot with the meningistis shot. She immediately fainted and had a seizure. She is very healthy, athletic & had never had any reactions to any of her shots.

This worries me a bit. I workout regularly and eat healthy... what a drastic change in bp though... did anyone have similar findings?
I'm 15 now, but when I got my shots, I was 14. About 3 months ago I got my 1st gardasil, 1st meningitis, and 3rd tetanus shot. Ever since then, my periods have been coming earlier every month, and every time I get it, there seems to be more and more problems. One month, for the first few days, it didn't look like blood that was coming out. It was black in color. On my last period, I ended up in the hospital. I had a fever, chills, nausea, convulsions, stomach pain, feeling faint, difficulty breathing, and headaches. The cramps were worse than they've ever been before. I was tested for many things and had a ct-scan, but they couldn't find anything wrong. I missed a whole week of school, and when my period was over, I developed depression. I'm still struggling with that and its been hell. I haven't been sick anymore, but my period should be coming soon, and I'm worried about what will happen this time. Also, my aunt said that right after she got her shot, she felt sick to her stomach and her periods have been messed up as well. Neither one of us are getting another gardasil shot. I'd rather risk getting cervical cancer...

Less than a month after receiving the Gardisil vaccine I blacked out and had a seizure (or what looked to be like one).. I've experienced numbness and tingling in my arms, tachycardia (had to wear a heart monitor) and 24/7 dizziness. I have had several tests done including but not all; MRI, EEG, EKG, urinary analysis, thyroid, ultrasounds of my heart, tilt table test and all the blood work you can think of. I am going to go to Stanford Medical Center because the doctors cannot figure out what is wrong but I strongly believe that it was the vaccine which made my immune and nervous system completely attack itself.
sorry I forgot to add that I am 24 years old and at the time of the shot I was running every day and extremely healthy. I am still blacking out, dizzy all the time and having minor convulsions.. I got the shot 6 months ago.

my 20 year old daughter has been experiencing weakness, dizziness and sometimes tingling in arm. Also ear pain since getting first shot. She just got her second shot and the dizziness and weakness is bad again. We saw doctor and waiting on blood work and scheduled an MRI. The only thing new since these symptoms started were the shots - we believe they may be the cause but of course will run the other tests to rule out anything else. Thinking hard about getting third shot. My 13 year old has had her first shot and she had no reaction.

Age 19; 30 days after 1st gardasil vaccine, struck with severe acid reflux (no medical history of such); persistent nausea, vomiting (some blood), motion sickness, abdominal pain, followed by weight loss (18 lbs in 6 wks, to date), painful menstruation. Have been to GI specialist and had endoscopy, biopsies, blood work, ultrasounds, CT scans, small bowel follow-through, and colonoscopy; went to ENT specialist and had MRI of inner ear and balance test. So far, all tests are normal, but illness has not subsided. Unfortunately did not suspect vaccine and got 2nd shot on Oct 30. Symptoms persist and still unable to eat without vomiting. GI specialist is in process of referring to a research university for diagnosis.

My then 17 yr.old daughter had two shots of the Gardasil vaccine (the initial shot was administered along with the meningitis vaccine)and I am now convinced that the Gardasil vaccine triggered a major depression in her. After a bizarre and very uncharacteristic emotional outburst immediately following the second shot of Gardasil in May, I finally correlated the vaccine with the onset of depression and extreme feelings of insecurity that developed in her within days following her initial injection of the Gardasil vaccine in February. Life has been extremely difficult for all of us as we seek to help my daughter through this very difficult time.
Addendum to post of Nov 17, 2007: also experienced ear pain following first shot; still experiencing diarrhea; after 2nd shot, legs were very sore for a couple of weeks (felt like she had run a marathon, but she hadn't done anything); intermittent back pain began after 2nd shot. Illness began Oct 6 and to date there have been no improvements other than the motion sickness has subsided. Vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, and severe abdominal pain continue on a daily basis. Had another extremely painful menstrual period.
My very athletic 18 year old daughter has experienced extreme weakness in her legs when exercising. This started after her first shot and worsened after the second shot. Neurological tests came back abnormal for some sort of autonomic neuropathy. We are now waiting on biopsy results.
Girls are d seizing at my daughters school at the rate of 2-3 pre day, this is mostly 10th graders and not a large class maybe 220 students. It appears these girls are blaming the gardsil shot. my question is why hasn't this become BIG news? and are we ultimately harming our daughters when our intention was to protect?
My daughter had HPV, Meningitis, Hepatitis A, and Tdap vaccines the same day. Her platelet count went extremely low. 2K. Now diagnosed with ITP. Positive for autoimmune condition.
My daughter Maddie, age 11, received the 1st HPV vaccine without any other vaccines. Approx 5 min later started to faint and had a seizure. No previous seizure history or fainting history, however is terrified of getting shots. The Dr explained the episode as postural hypotension from the fear of the shot.
At age 15 I received my 1st and 2nd shot of gardasil, one month later I started having seizures.My mom took me to the doctor to find out what happened,they did all these tests like a MRI, and a EEG, everything has come back normal.The doctors cant figure out what caused the seizures.I have always been very healthy.I am now 16,still having seizures,im not allowed to drive until the seizures are under control.My mom and dad are convinced that it is the Gardasil shot.Please do your research before getting these shots.Im scared.

Hello I'm 24 and after receiving the vaccine I started having heart palpitations. My heart start beating real fast and I felt like I was going to past out. I have extreme muscle fatigue and cannot find the energy to keep up with my regular routine of working out 3x per week. I feel numbness in my hands every couple of days and had frequent headaches. When I try to go to sleep I have to take deep breaths and hold my chest. I been to the emergency room twice and I'm going to see a cardiologist. Prior to this vaccine I did not have any problems with my heart. I only took one shot and I'm scared to take the second. I took my first shot on 9-11-08 and now I'm still suffering from these side effects on 9-26-2008 continuing. I would not recommend this vaccine.
im 17 and i got my first cc jab yesterday.. i had no immediate side effects except for muscle pain in my left arm (arm i got the shot in). However this morning in school, i got very dizzy and had ringing in my ears and tingling in my arms and legs. This happened on and off all day, and i could not stop shaking all day. Im still feeling this now, very weak and keep having muscle twitches through my whole body that last about 1-2 minutes and dizzy spells. its a really scary feeling.
i am 13 years old i got the shot 4 months ago. i have fainted once a week and my parents dont know

I had MMR vaccine 5 weeks ago for my nursing school and I was sick since that shot. I started feeling dizzy and had shortess of breath 30 minutes after the shot. I started feeling worse over the next 2 weeks. I started having racing heart, pain in my arms and joints, headache, extreme fatigue. I cannor hold my arms up for a long period of time. I feel dizzy most of the time. I have pressure in the back of my head and burning sensations. When I am in bed ,I feel like I am passing out. I was healthy before that MMR vaccine. I have allergies to penicilline antibiotics and sulfa drugs. I am tall and athletic. Now I've gained about 10 pounds because I cannot exercise. I also lost my appetite 2 weeks after the vaccine but now it is back.
I forget to mention that I am in my mid-thirties.I also had to cancel my nursing school. What a terrible price to pay. I hope it will go away. I wonder if anybody got better. At least I can stay awake for a while. I was in bed for almost 2 weeks and could not drive. Gail.
Last February/08 my 13 y.o. daughter developed ITP after her first HPV vaccine. As oc 10/09, her platelets still low and she has been diagnosed with Lupus. Of course,doctors refused to make any links with autoimmune disease and vaccine reactions.
I'm 20 yrs old and 1 month after my first shot, i started bipolar disorder symptoms. I've never been mentally unhealthy before, i've been perfectly healthy my whole life in fact.
I am 22yrs and I have had all three shots done. I had my last shot in dec 08 and in jan of 09, i was hospitalized for sever migrain. CT was done and found a 4cm cyst of my left temperlob. I have had the cyst since i was fifteen but it has never caused a problem or grown.In sept of 08 i had my yearly mri done and at that time my cyst was only 1cm like it had been for the the past 6yrs. Since the sept of 08 my cyst has grown 3cm. My first shot was around the end of aug 08. I had noticed an increase in migrains since sept but thought nothing of it. About a week after my third shot my migrain became so sever that i had to go to the hospital where they relized that it had grown 3cm. I did not think that the shot had anything to do with it because it wasnt listed as a side effect. Also since jan i have been having 2-3 seizures a day and increased abonominal pain and have been passing out about 1-2 times a day. My periods where increasing to every other week. I was losing so much blood that i was hospitalized and given a blood transfusion. I have been seeing a neorsurgon every week because now the cyst has to be removed. The cyst is now pushing so hard on my brain (which is causing the sever migrains)that it has damaged the vision in my left eye and has also made sleeping impossible. Doctors of coarse say that its a cowincidence about the shot but why is it for 6 yrs that cyst never cause a problem and the min i get that shot done it starts to grow. Also my seizures and fainting spells are not caused by the cyst and my docs are still unsure of why they are occuring. If it wasnt for a friend telling me about seizures and passing out being a potential side affect of the shot, I would have never put two and two together. The only reason i got the shot was because 2yrs ago my sis was diagnosed with cervical cancer. I now warn everyone i can about this shot cause it has distoryed my life and i would hate for it to happen to someone else. igot the first shot only & two months later my periods came like every two weeks and iwas loosing massive amounts of blood. I had normal periods lasting 3 to 5 days at most, with a moderate flow. The shot made my periods worse. got the shot March of 08 period got heavier nd more frequent by August 08 iwas hospitalized thinking misscarriage, ihad lost sooo much blood iwas as white as a sheet blacked out upon entering er. Eventualy my platelid count nd hemogolobin comes back, 7,000 platelids nd hemogolobin was a 5:( after a week of tests I was diaognosed with ITP... Ive had it for a year now, i never got the remaing two shots...
Had a TB test so i could go back to teaching. I have had dizzy spells that i cant get rid of ever since i received the shot. Has anyone else had this occur. I am 40 btw
